Las Cafeteras and Escarioka
Las Cafeteras are Native and migrant children who are remixing
roots music and telling modern day stories with what LA Times has
called a "uniquely Angeleno mishmash of punk, hip-hop, beat music, cumbia and rock.”
Escarioka is a border-crossing multi-kulti collective from NYC with roots in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. Escarioka mixes Cumbia Balkan, Salsa, Hardcore, Dub and Gypsy music in a style they call Psychotropical Punk Rock. Their new album “Pachahuaska” is out now on Maximum Collabo records.
