Greetings from Afropop Worldwide and afropop.org! Thanks for your interest in participating in the Afropop Ambassadors program we are starting up.

Here are the kinds of things you can do for us as an Afropop Ambassador:

· Place afropop.org promo cards at local nightclubs, music stores, cultural centers where people interested in African, Caribbean, and Latin music go.

· Actively hand out cards to people at African/world concerts or music festivals, and engage folks in conversation about the attractions of the afropop web site, encouraging them to register on the site to get our free Afropop e-Newsletters.

· Contact your local public radio station carrying Afropop Worldwide to thank them (VERY IMPORTANT) and offer to volunteer if station brings Afropop to town to do an Afropop event.

· Write the program director, copying the general manager, at your local public radio station requesting they add Afropop Worldwide to their broadcast schedule.

· Keep your eyes and ears open for potential funders of our work, individual donors who can contribute financially through the "Support Afropop" section of our web site, or underwrite the local broadcast of Afropop Worldwide on public radio.

When you sign up as an Afropop Ambassador, we will be happy to send you a free CD as our thank you for your help. You will also receive an official Afropop Ambassador card which will entitle you to various perks and benefits.
