Instruments for Africa is a nonprofit organization founded by Paul Chandler and Tama Walley to reinforce traditional music, the arts and cultural preservation in Africa.
Thus far, they have focused on the musical traditions of Mali, which have been documented in revelatory videos where the musicians opine on a variety of things, from the importance of maintaining musical traditions and culture, to the importance of instruments and heritage.
The latest video features Afel Bocoum, who discusses his love for music and Mali, as well as the role of musicians and instruments in traditional society.
