Funk Na Caixa continues on its quest to bring the most innovative and adventurous baile funk beyond the reaches of São Paulo and Rio. This EP, from producer Kill the Bass (AKA Lucas Marim) introduces a new style of the dangerously chill rasterinha, along with tarraxo and samba-inspired rhythms. Afropop is thrilled to present the EP's premiere! Here is an introduction from Funk Na Caixa's intrepid owner Renato M2: "With a commitment to continue revealing new names and trends of funk carioca, Funk na Caixa introduce the EP Ao Cair da Noite, produced by Lucas Marim, 24, a native of the city Osasco. His music escapes from the usual 'dance music' of funk carioca. It shows that everything doesn't need to be at the same rate of São Paulo–fast and frantic--the night can also be melodic and uncensored. "With two original productions and two remixes, the producer shows that he has matured over the year since he started uploading music on Soundcloud. On this EP, the main sounds that are featured are two rasterinhas and remixes conversing with tarraxo and the samba. A tribute to the singer Jovelina comes from his taste for rhythm and the popular pago-funk, where he’ll find friends on Friday nights. The remix of 'Be Your Girl' is special for the producer, and is  reminiscent of the genre tarraxo. The 'Passinho do Indiano' brings nice drums and takes rasterinha to the next level. "The highlight of the EP comes with the original 'Sem Censura' (translating: 'Uncensored') with the rapper Lester. The influence of Rio lyrics brings an uncensored adventure story with a girl. This music comes at the base of rasterinha again with a melodic appeal and shows that there is room for more intrinsic sounds in the baile funk culture." Tracklist: 1.
