Afropop Worldwide has a simple mission. All we want to do is offer you the best music in the world, and then have you listen, or perhaps dance. In the service of this humble goal, we bring you radio shows and blog posts, interviews and playlists. Sometimes we even bring you concerts. Like, for instance, right now. That's right, Afropop Worldwide is proud to announce that it is a sponsor of the Brooklyn Night Bazaar. But not just any old Brooklyn Night Bazaar. No--we are media sponsors for a double bill on July 5 featuring Zongo Junction and Chicano Batman, two of our favorite groups putting a modern spin on classic styles. For those not in the know: Zongo Junction are some of New York's finest Afrobeat revivalists. You can read our review of the group's single "The Van That Got Away" HERE.  Chicano Batman runs a musical amalgamation, combining a variety of Latin, rock, and psych influences into their own world.
