This is an extended track from Damily’s historic live performance at the Jardin de la Mer in Tulear, Madagascar, on May 16, 2014. This was Damily’s first concert in Tulear in 14 years. It was a free event, a “gift” to his former hometown, and it was attended by thousands who thoroughly enjoyed themselves long into the night. The song is called “Mineroneroke Vale,” a Vezo word meaning “heartache.” It’s the story of a woman whose husband has left her. The song comes from Afropop Worldwide’s recording of the concert. It’s not a perfect multitrack recording, but it sure captures the energy of this remarkable concert!
