Dancehall Stars Spice and Konshens Face Off Over Who's Going to "Pay For It"
I must be hurting
for some travel, because the video for “Pay For It” with Spice, the
Queen of Dancehall, getting picked up in a Coaster Bus by
Konshens really made me wish the video was just tooling around
Kingston. Fortunately the song, produced by Rvssian, is a dancehall
earworm, and while the video isn’t the municipal tour I might have
hoped for, it’s funny and sweet.
Out fresh today, the
song is from Konshens’s upcoming third album, Red Reign,
slated for release this year on Ineffable Records. It follows on the
heels of “Can’t Stay Sober,” and I expect both songs will be
spilling out of vehicles of all sizes, from Jamaica to Jamaica,
Queens this summer.
