Hip Deep Salegy Video!
Salegy is the signature dance music of northern Madagascar, and one of the island nation's great musical exports. No surprise, salegy is a major focus of Afropop's "Hip Deep in Madagascar" series. Â This video tells the salegy story, and captures some magical moments from Afropop's 2014 field work in Madagascar. The video features salegy king Jaojoby and his family band.
