Come to Afropop's Holiday Benefit Party!
The Afropop team is sending 2014 out with an intimate, music-filled bash in New York City on Wed., Dec. 3. There will be food from South Africa, fantastic West African music from New York's hottest new African band, Benyoro, great ambience and company—and it all takes place in the spacious and beautiful Midtown apartment of an old friend of Afropop.
The event is a benefit to support our ongoing work to bring the best music and stories of Africa and its many diasporas to your ears and eyes, and the development and preservation of our 25 year-plus archive. So if you listen to us on the air, follow us online, enjoy our podcasts, or just dig African sounds, come and meet the team! As any veteran of past Afropop events will attest, we know how to throw a great party! And this will be no exception.
