Idris Elba Hosting Africa Day Benefit Concert Livestream Monday
Africa Day is May 25, and MTV Base Africa has “gathered” some of the continent's biggest stars for a a special, live-streamed event starting at 6 p.m. Central African Time, noon here on America's East Coast. Idris Elba will be handsomely hosting the event, which will feature Burna Boy, Diamond Platnumz, Tiwa Savage, Stonebwoy, Angelique Kidjo, Adekunle Gold, Teni, Sauti Sol and many more of our favorites. Proceeds from the two-hour event will go towards COVID-19 relief efforts on the continent, where almost 90,000 cases have been reported and nearly 3,000 deaths.
