For those of us privileged enough to do so, we're plunging into the third month of sheltering in our places, maybe getting into a rhythm, maybe going a little nuts. When you can't take any more news and you want to unwind, might we suggest picking from Netflix's selection of African films, series and documentaries?
If you visit netflix.com/madeinafrica, you can browse through everything from social issue dramas and documentaries to light family comedy. On May 30, Netflix will be adding the South African-set youth-led drama Blood And Water, a follow-up to its first African Original Series, Queen Sono, a spy thriller. Sono was renewed for a second season and Netflix announced JIVA! a dance drama also set in South Africa.
So there's a lot to watch for now and a lot to look forward to watching—preferably after a long day out in a vaccinated world.
