While we didn't go into much detail about her in Hip Deep Ghana 2, we've been keeping our ears to the ground for news from Ghanaian afro-soul artist Efya. That diligence paid off Monday night when she posted a brand new song to her ReverbNation page.     "Weather 4 two" is a seriously sexy song. The beat is slow, the synths are sleak, and the vocal is sultry. Our aural analytics  team isn't done with it's investigation, but initial reports indicate that the atmospheric sounds at the intro are samples of a very romantic rainstorm. All frivolity aside, this track does it's job with impressive restraint and subtly, owing in large part to the silky smooth beat and Efya's impeccable performance. "Weather 4 two" inspired investigation into the artist's digital presence, during which a tasty video surfaced. In this Afrobeats UK produced clip, we get a peak at Efya and band performing in the studio and a little insight into her creative process. She talks about representing Ghana worldwide and lists off a surprisingly Western-centric list of artists who have influenced her sound (including Beyonce. "Why not?"), but one artist absent from her list was Amy Winehouse. It's a conspicuous omission considering how much Efya sounds like the departed vocalist in this clip and on her more soulful numbers. Another angle of Efya's worth comparing to the beehived British singer is her band.
