Ondatropica cover Fela's Chop'n'Quench
For those not in the know, Ondatropica are a seriously funky proposition, fusing DJ smarts with the endless groove of some of Colombia's finest musicians. Their debut double album was one of our favorite releases of last year, and we've been eagerly waiting for a follow up ever since. Sad to say, this isn't it. But, we can't really complain about anyone turning up a great Fela cover, let alone of our favorite bands. So check out the group's horn and accordion heavy version of the Africa 70 track- and if you are lucky enough to live in Europe this summer, be SURE to catch them live. It'll be worth it!
