Poirier Brings Summer Heat with 'Sud West Mix - 2012'
Out of all the places that seem less likely to drop hot, tropical gems, Montreal would probably be near the top of the list. That assertion would be completely incorrect, though. Take Montreal-based producer Poirier. Despite being based in the cold, French-Canadian wonderland, the seasoned producer has found an affection for Caribbean styles like soca and Jamaican dancehall of late resulting in a unique riff off these popular styles. Just in time for summer, Poirier has come through again dropping a 28+ minute mix called Sud-West Mix - 2012 of dancehall reggae to prepare you for a season full of sweaty dance parties. While Poirier hasn’t dropped a track list on us yet(he promises that its forthcoming), we can recognize a few of the tracks including this UK gem from last year. Artists also on the mix include Marky Lyrical, Face-T, Dreadsquad, Natalie Storm, Burro Banton, King Shadrock, Stylo G, Cham, Busy Signal, Konshens, Cecile. Get it! Sud-West Mix - 2012 by Poirier
