Scholar: Peter Manuel
Peter Manuel is an ethnomusicology professor at John Jay College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He has researched and published extensively on musics of India, Spain, and the Caribbean. His books include Caribbean Currents: Caribbean Music from Rumba to Reggae, Cassette Culture: Popular Music and Technology in North India, and Creolizing Contradance in the Caribbean.
