Scholar: Robert Farris Thompson
Robert Farris Thompson, one of the foremost authorities on African and Afro-Atlantic culture, has taught at Yale since 1961, where he is Col. John Trumbull Professor of the History of Art and Master of Timothy Dwight College. He is the author of numerous classic works, including Flash of the Spirit and Face of the Gods.
