Popcaan and Mixpak Records just dropped a video for the track "The System" off Dre Skull's new Loudspeaker Riddim single featuring vocal offerings from Beenie Man, Natalie Storm, Machel Montano and Popcaan. Apparently, the NYC-based DJ turned sought after riddim maker Dre Skull is planning on filming a video for every version of off the Loudspeaker Riddim. The first installment, directed by Dayo features a particularly fly looking Popcaan rolling through a tough part of Kingston as he describes the trials and struggles that Jamaican youth face against the social and political system of Jamaica. Will Popcaan fill the void left in the wake of Vybz Kartel being arrested? Those are some big shoes to fill and it's way to early to tell. The interesting, super-conscientious lyrical offering of "The System" is  a facinating turn for Popcaan, though, who until now has been known for more "feel-good" party offerings.
