Nigerian rapper Wizkid recently won the BET award for "Best International Act - Africa," has a top-selling debut album, just kicked off his UK and North American tour, became the new ambassador for Pepsi, is being sought after by big time American rappers Kid Cudi and Wale, was just signed to Akon's label, and is in the process of getting a degree in sociology....what?! This adorable 22-year old has a great sense of style  and rolls with his own hip-hop crew like the big boys. One would think he has been in the business for years. With new hip-hop music flying out of Nigeria everyday,  Wizkid's unique voice, charismatic attitude, and diverse musical style is what sets him apart, or as Wizkid puts it, "Show me another brother who can rap and who can sing." He started making waves in his hometown of Lagos, Nigeria in 2009 after collaborating with huge Nigerian artists like Sound Sultan, Ruffman, Nyore, Durella, Kel, TBase and M.I., just to name a few. Wizkid dropped his extremely successful debut album last year, Superstar, which is a unique blend of rock, afro-beats, reggae, hip-hop and rap all rolled into one, and is apparently popular among people of all ages in Nigeria. Now he has a BET award under his belt and is about to embark on a U.S. tour.
