WOMEX, the annual world music expo, is a feast for the ears and eyes. No one person could begin to take in even half of the nonstop sonic and social action. But even from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, Afropop did its level best! And we shared with you our highlights in two programs: WOMEX Radio Sessions and What’s New at WOMEX?. The images below feature the artists in the What’s New program. They give you just a little flavor of the spectacle of WOMEX’s highly professional, beautifully lit (usually!) showcase stages.
