Zombie Flamingos with Spoek Mathambo
Spoek Mathambo is pretty busy! Here’s his latest work: a video for an updated version of his recent cover of Fela Kuti’s Zombie, which appeared on the recent tribute album, Red Hot + Fela. The album version featured Cerebral Cortex and SA indie-electro band The Frown, but this version also features South African artists: Petit Noir, Zaki Ibrahim, and Ukhamba Soul, and it is way more upbeat!
The video, directed by Kent Andreasen, begs the question: Birds of a feather flock together, but are flamingos in fact zombies? Enjoy!
