Afropop Live! 2014

On "Afropop Live 2014," we're playing highlights from some fantastic concerts we saw over the past year. At Montreal's Nuits d'Afrique festival, we caught Chinese reggae band Long Shen Dao, which mixes dreadlocks with guzheng (a Chinese zither). Also in Montreal: the Haitian-Canadian band Rara Soley put on a rousing set of songs for celebration and protest. And from Joe's Pub in New York, Wake Up Madagascar raised awareness for deforestation with the sweet sounds of salegy.
