The African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) is an annual event in New York City that showcases films exploring the experiences of people of African descent worldwide. Established in 1993 by Diarah N'Daw-Spech and Reinaldo Barroso-Spech, ADIFF aims to present, interpret, and educate audiences about diverse narratives within the African diaspora. The festival features a wide array of genres, including documentaries, dramas, and comedies, from both emerging and established filmmakers. Screenings are held at various venues across the city, such as Cinema Village, Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theater, The Schomburg Center, The Forum, and Teacher’s College. In addition to film screenings, ADIFF offers panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and workshops, fostering dialogue and understanding of the global Black experience. The 32nd Annual ADIFF is scheduled from November 29 to December 15, 2024
