Alea, the Colombian born/Bronx based singer songwriter will be releasing her new album Alborotá in New York at City Winery. Alongside Sinuhé Padilla, Franco Pinna, Berta Moreno and special guests Sonia De Los Santos, Renée Goust & George Sáenz, Alea will take you on a trip inspired by cumbia, vallenato, currulao and huapango with pop, and latin jazz, filtered through her personal lens of strength, feminism, and Latinx empowerment. Alea has been releasing singles and music videos from the album for the past two years with “Échale Sal” being hailed as one of NPR Alt.Latino’s favorite songs of 2020. From the sweet and vibrant feeling of the tropics to a classic cantina moment, this show will have something for everyone.
