Emerging from Lomé, Togo, Dogo du Togo & The Alagaa Beat Band is a collective of top Togolese musicians led by Massama Dogo, who has put Togolese music on the international map with a sound he calls the “Alagaa Beat.” Drawing from festive and ritual rhythms, psychedelic rock, afrobeat, and hypnotic voodoo melodies, the band crafts music that is both deeply rooted in Togolese tradition and globally resonant.
Dogo du Togo & the Alagaa Beat Band showcases a new sound that is undeniably Togolese while opening new frontiers for African music worldwide.
