Godwin Louis did something increasingly common- he took a DNA test to determine his ethnic heritage. Born in Harlem into a family with a strong Haitian lineage, he was surprised by what that test told him- and then he took a long, deep dive into the music of the many cultures that make up the guy named Godwin Louis.
