Jose Alberto 'El Canario' & The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra: Celebrating the Music of Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and Tito Puente

Get ready for an unforgettable night of Latin music with Jose Alberto 'El Canario' & The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra, celebrating the iconic sounds of Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and Tito Puente. This event is perfect for both veterans and newcomers to Latin jazz and mambo.

Dominican salsa singer Jose Alberto 'El Canario,' a master improviser hailing from Puerto Rico, has a rich history in the Latin music scene. With Tipica '73, he collaborated with renowned artists like Johnny Rodriquez, Sonny Bravo, Mario Rivera, Leopoldo Pineda, Nicky Marrero, and Alfredo de la Fe. In 1983, he formed his own band and later contributed to the salsa romantica movement with his solo LP 'Dance With Me.'

The evening will also pay tribute to three titans of Latin jazz and mambo: Machito, Tito Rodriguez, and Tito Puente. These legends defined the dance music of 1950s New York. Machito's influence on Afro-Cuban jazz and salsa music; Tito Rodriguez, known as 'El Inolvidable' (The Unforgettable One); and Tito Puente's contributions to mambo, son, and cha-cha-chá have left an indelible mark on Latin music history.

The mambo craze of the late '40s and '50s found its epicenter at the Palladium Ballroom, where these musicians were at the forefront. Now, their legacy continues as two of their sons, Tito Rodriguez Jr. and Machito Jr., lead a 17-piece orchestra, including original band members, to perform their fathers' greatest hits.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to experience the vibrant rhythms and melodies that shaped Latin music. Secure your tickets now for a night filled with the best of salsa, mambo, and Latin jazz.
