Malika Zarra
Malika Zarra first told Afropop about her musical roots in the Amizight mountains of Morocco, and her journey to the New York jazz scene back in 2011. Since then, she has built a unique career of recordings, performances and collaborations culminating in her 2024 album, Rwa (The Essence). This fall, Zarra and her band bring the magic to East Coast stages, including two shows in Brooklyn.
