Deadly Dragon Sound System is one of NYC's premier roots reggae sound systems, devoted to spinning vinyl of the best and baddest of Jamaican roots music. They've been throwing events at Happy Ending on Broome street for over eight years. Last night was the last of these events, as the club is closing. No fear though, for "Slipping Into Darkness" is here: DD's live and direct podcast, mixed from vinyl mix of soul-influenced reggae. For the CD crowd, many of the selections harken back to Darker Than Blue: Soul from Jamdown (1973-1980). These are feel great tunes! Look out for the next Deadly Dragon event.
