Spotlight: The Potent Brazilian Psychedelica of Curumin

Curumin dropped his new album yesterday Arrocha via Six Degrees Records. We've been bumping it in the office of late and are really into his unique mix of various styles from samba and funk, jazz to electronic and trip-hop.

Curumin is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist from Brazil who first gained some notice stateside after Chief Xcel of Blackalicious saw him during a South American tour. His style of music tends to take classic Brazilian styles and hurls them into modern context by adding popular elements of hip-hop and electronic music. The combination is really seamless for Curumin, though, and usually results in a potently psychedelic lively collection.
