The 15th ¡Globalquerque! Festival Has Lucibela, 47SOUL, Mdou Moctar and More

Now this is a lineup. The 15th annual ¡Globalquerque! Festival goes down Sept. 20 and 21 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, and the artists they’ve got are pretty much all stars. Cape Verde’s Lucibela, Niger’s Mdou Moctar, the Garifuna Collective, 47SOUL and La Cuneta Son Machin from Nicaragua are all there. And if you venture out of our wheelhouse a bit, Inuit/Yup’ik ensemble Pamyua and the Yandong Singers from China, as well as Le Vent du Nord from Quebec, Dat Garcia from Argentina and Carlos Medina.

We’re pretty East Coast-centric over here—although in our defense it is the coast closer to Africa and the Caribbean—but we’d be remiss not to tell you the check this festival out—details here.
