Trio Gafieira
TRIO GAFIEIRA. In Brazil, Gafieira refers to a specific type of big band, as well as to the ballrooms where those bands perform. To this day, Gafieira attracts dancers to popular clubs in Rio de Janeiro where couples dance samba, tango, foxtrot and the American maxixe (also known as Brazilian tango). The group pays hommage to the great gafeira trombonist Raul De Barros with Brian Drye - Trombone; Dennis Bulhoes - Drums,Scott Kettner - Percussion and special guests tba.
