Boris Paillard
Aſter having worked for the local label Akwaaba Music in Ghana, French-born Boris Paillard founded the event series African Beats & Pieces in Berlin in 2017, where he now resides. Over 30 underground DJs and live acts have since joined him on stage in his exploration of themes related to music from the African continent and its global diaspora. As Mixanthrope, he brings his thematic focus to deep-diving DJ mixes, many of which have been featured on Afropop Worldwide. He's now working on his next "Zooming In" mix focusing on the music of Burundi, as well as mixes with songs from French-speaking African countries tackling themes such as food, friendship, alcohol, immigration issues und war.
